What to Bring

Morocco is a country that has developed most of it's tourism industry to western standards.  The airports are ISO9000 they have Mobile web, everything.  Keep in mind though this is for tourists to make them feel at home.  If one wants to see the real Morocco they will need bring a few items to make the trip easy, low stress, not to mention clean.

Here is the must list:

1. Hand Sanitizer

2. Cottonelle Wipes (Arab toilets do not have toilet paper or a bowl)

3. Diarrhea Kit (can be obtained from travel doctors)

4. Mobile Phone that has Sim card capabilities and is Unlocked.  I personally use a Motorola L6 quadband phone.  It works in every country regardless.  When arriving in Morocco simply take out the European/American sim.  Next goto most convenience stores and one can buy a sim card on the spot for 20 dirhams ($2.50).  No contract or anything.  This way one won't spend $2.50 a minute calling within Morocco, they will be paying the same as a local.

5. Passport holder , but a leg passport holder not the one around the necks.  People know all around the world this is wear tourists hide the money passport etc.  Morocco is a safe, but poor country, If you get mugged anywhere around the world most people will not check the lower leg.  One can purchase these through amazon.com.

6. Luggage locks.  Get a simple combination masterlock one.  Keep in mind it is a poor country and anything nice is of value even stored in your luggage people will go through it.

7. Sandals.  Most apartments and hotels have tile floors.  It starts to feel dirty going barefoot on these for a bit.
